Learn more about MDI at .Morgan Distributing, Inc. is an ExxonMobil Lubricant Distributor headquartered in Decatur, Illinois with 3 additional locations in Fairfield, Illinois, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Valparaiso, Indiana. We are currently seeking a Swing Driver for our Fairfield IL location. To transport and deliver petroleum products to customers by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of both bulk lubricants and package products locally and out of town to a variety of customers. Drivers at times will also be responsible for the efficient selecting, handling, and loading/unloading of products of various sizes, weight, and packaging.Salary Range: $25.00-$28.00Key Responsibilities:Perform Pre-Trip DOT truck inspections. Inspect trucks for defects and safe operating conditions before, during, and after trips. Report any defects to the Supervisor.Drive tank, hybrid, or box trucks to deliver bulk and packaged lubricants to customers locally and out of town.Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, and tight areas.Read gauges or meters and record the quantity loaded.Record amounts delivered on an I-Pad and obtain customer signatures.Move various sizes and weights of package products by hand or by mechanical means such as handcarts, pallet jacks, and fork trucks.Transfer products from package containers to customer tanks/drums.Load package products safely onto trucks/trailers.Assist shipping and receiving, unload trucks, and check in product corresponding to BOLs (Bills of Lading).Read customer work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.Mark materials with identifying information on row cards.Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed on work orders and BOLs.Operate fork trucks, electric pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machines in a safe manner.Assist in the counting of physical inventory.Provide coverage for warehouse personnel during vacations, sick leave, or other absences.Competencies:FlexibilityOrganizational & Time Management SkillsMathematical SkillsThoroughnessTeamwork CapacityCommunication ProficiencyTechnical CapacityExpected Hours of Work:Hours of work are determined by the Branch Manager.Core Hours include: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through FridayThere may be additional hours required based on the volume of loads or if there are any customer emergencies that may arise.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.1 year of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.Valid CDL License (Class A/B).DOT Hazmat/Tanker Endorsement.Benefits:Medical, Dental and Vision coveragePaid Time Off (PTO)401(k) Retirement Plan with Matching ContributionsHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Health Reimbursement Agreement (HRA)Paid HolidaysLife InsuranceVoluntary
