WeAquatics is seeking a Swim Instructor to join their team in Alexandria, VA. This role involves teaching swimming to individuals of all ages and abilities, focusing on creating safe and confident swimmers through personalized instruction and engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead engaging one-on-one and small group lessons
  • Craft personalized development plans for each swimmer
  • Create fun, energetic learning environments that emphasize water safety
  • Provide encouraging feedback that builds skills and confidence
  • Maintain safety protocols while fostering a positive atmosphere
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and their families

Required skills

  • Strong swimming abilities across various techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly and patient teaching style
  • Adaptability to different learning styles and needs
  • Current lifeguard/CPR certifications (preferred)
  • Genuine enthusiasm for water safety and teaching
  • Previous swim instruction experience (helpful but not required)
