Overview

The Senior Vice President of Property Management and Maintenance at Columbia Housing Authority will oversee the strategic, operational, and regulatory aspects of property management and maintenance services. This executive role requires ensuring compliance with regulations while enhancing operational performance across various housing programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for property management and maintenance operations
  • Develop operational goals and asset management strategies
  • Advise on operational risks, compliance issues, and staffing needs
  • Lead initiatives focused on occupancy, modernization, and resident satisfaction
  • Supervise Regional Property Managers and the Superintendent of Maintenance
  • Oversee leasing, occupancy management, and resident relations
  • Monitor compliance with safety, building standards, and housing regulations
  • Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditure and performance
  • Support capital improvements and manage contractor performance
  • Supervise leadership staff and develop staff performance standards

Required skills

  • Knowledge of HUD public housing and affordable housing programs
  • Strong leadership and organizational management skills
  • Financial management and budget administration
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in managing large-scale housing operations
  • Strong analytical, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration
  • Minimum five years of housing development management experience
  • Valid South Carolina Driver's License
