Services include all types of residential, commercial, construction and ALTA/NSPS surveys with a commitment of accurate and timely delivery to our clients. Our surveys provide an important component for real estate type transactions involving buyers and sellers, title companies, lenders, attorneys, and real estate agents.Survey Field Crew Instrument Operator Position Summary:Under the supervision of the Field Crew Chief and Field Crew Manager, the Survey Field Crew Instrument Operator will be responsible for assisting with preparing job sites for surveys. This work is performed outdoors year-round in various weather conditions. Requires the ability to move in various standing and sitting positions and the ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally (with assistance).Survey Field Crew Instrument Operator ScheduleMonday through Friday with some weekends required during seasonal months as scheduled by the supervisor.Ideal candidate will be located in the Worthington, OH area. Requirements: Survey Field Crew Instrument Operator Position Responsibilities:Check, clean and adjust instruments as neededCheck the general operative condition of assigned work vehicle (gas, oil, tire pressure)Secure vehicle equipment at the end of each workdayMaintain inventory by identifying and communicating needed supplies required for all work assignmentsSharpen cutting toolsUsing a machete, shovel and sledgehammer or other appropriate toolsTransport and setup the instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing the job site for surveyClear underbrush, set stakes and/or pins into ground as directedTake measurements and readings and assist the Field Crew Chief in accomplishing field assignments in an efficient mannerBecome familiar with data collectors, descriptions, coding and techniques and company standardized informationPerforms other related duties as requiredSurvey Field Crew Instrument Operator Skills and Experience:High school diploma/GED diploma required.Two years job related experience in the surveying industry desired.Valid Driver's License and driving record that meets our insurance requirementsAbility to add and subtract, multiply and divide and perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance and understand algebra, trigonometry, and geometry.Able to operate instruments required for the collection or distribution of survey data (total station, data collector, GPS).Proficient in the independent application and use of job-related software/e-technology/cloud-based solutionsCad drafting experience a plus.Benefits Offered:Competitive SalaryMedical/Dental/Vision InsuranceCompany Sponsored Life & Disability InsuranceVoluntary Benefits - Accident, Critical Illness, Life, Short & Long-Term DisabilityHealth Savings Account401(k) with company matchPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffChild Birth Recovery Related LeaveEXACTA , dba Landmark Survey Group provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
