Overview

ATC West Healthcare Services is looking for a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a hospital-based cardiothoracic surgery team. The role involves providing locum coverage at a Level I trauma center, focusing on adult cardiac and thoracic surgical care, including weekday rounding and call responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care
  • Manage inpatient rounding
  • Respond to call coverage needs for adult cardiac and thoracic cases
  • Perform required procedures such as CABG and heart valve repair
  • Participate in weekend night call coverage

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Active Michigan medical license
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Experience in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery
  • Clean malpractice and license history preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Epic
