Overview

WhiteCoat Locums is seeking a Neuro Interventional locums physician for a facility in Rockford, Illinois. The role involves a mix of neurointerventional procedures, general neurology coverage, inpatient management, and clinic work, with a focus on providing comprehensive stroke program support.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform neurointerventional and endovascular procedures consistent with a comprehensive stroke program.
  • Provide general neurology coverage as needed.
  • Manage an inpatient census of approximately 15 patients, including consults, admissions, and ER cases.
  • Serve as the primary call contact for CareHub transfer calls related to neurology and neurointerventional cases.
  • Act as the collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Required skills

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Active Illinois State License
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • DEA and CSR licenses
  • Experience with Epic EMR
