Overview

Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant for a locum position in Clearwater, Florida. This role involves inpatient rounding and assisting in the operating room at a Level II Trauma Center, with responsibilities including first assist in surgeries and call duties.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient care and first assist in the operating room
  • Participate in patient rounding
  • Rotate call responsibilities among PAs (1:4/5 weekend and night call)
  • Collaborate with a team of neurosurgeons and advanced practice providers

Required skills

  • Active Florida license
  • Current board certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an advanced practice provider in Neurosurgery
  • Experience in inpatient care and trauma
