Job Description

Overview

BAS Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant to provide night coverage for their neurosurgery service line at a high-acuity medical center in Greenville, North Carolina. The role is inpatient-only and supports a busy Level 1 trauma environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage inpatient neurosurgery patients overnight
  • Perform admissions and discharges if necessary
  • Conduct inpatient consultations
  • Provide OR first assist support if desired
  • Collaborate closely with attending neurosurgeons and fellow APPs
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation within the EMR

Required skills

  • Board Certification as PA
  • Neurosurgery or high-acuity inpatient experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Ability to work a consistent 7-night block schedule
  • Willingness to complete orientation the day before first shift
