Overview

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated Surgery - Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join their team in Pueblo, Colorado. The successful candidate will play a vital role in a collaborative environment, focusing on patient care in both outpatient and surgical settings. This full-time position offers a balance of clinical responsibilities with strong support to enhance the patient experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a fast-paced clinical and surgical practice
  • Assist in outpatient clinic and OR procedures
  • Participate in inpatient rounding
  • Maintain a 'patients first' mentality
  • Collaborate with a team of advanced practice providers
  • Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records

Required skills

  • Master's degree in physician assistant studies or nursing
  • Unrestricted Colorado Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
  • PA-C or Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • Unrestricted DEA permit
  • Eligibility to provide reimbursable services with Medicare and Medicaid
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Empathy and patient-focused approach
