Overview

ProTouch Staffing is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant to join their expanding neurosurgical team in Columbus, Georgia. This role involves providing comprehensive care in both clinic and hospital settings for patients with complex spine and neurosurgical conditions, making it ideal for those committed to excellence in patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams
  • Assist in developing treatment plans
  • Support neurosurgeons during clinic visits, hospital rounds, and surgical procedures
  • Order, review, and interpret labs, imaging, and specialty consultations
  • Provide post-operative care, patient education, and follow-up
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the EMR system
  • Participate in on-call rotation for inpatient neurosurgical care
  • Maintain strong clinical skills through ongoing professional development

Required skills

  • Current and valid Physician Assistant license in Georgia or pending application
  • Experience in surgical or procedural specialties preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred
