Overview

ProTouch Staffing is looking for a motivated Physician Assistant to join their neurosurgical team in Columbus, Georgia. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in both clinic and hospital settings, particularly focusing on complex spine and neurosurgical conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams
  • Assist in developing treatment plans
  • Assist neurosurgeons in clinic, hospital rounds, and surgical procedures
  • Order, review, and interpret labs, imaging, and specialty consultations
  • Provide post-operative care and patient education
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the EMR system
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support inpatient neurosurgical care
  • Maintain strong clinical skills through ongoing professional development

Required skills

  • Current and valid Physician Assistant license in Georgia
  • Experience in surgical or procedural specialties preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred
