Overview

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a full-time Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join their established practice at Piedmont Athens Hospital in Athens, Georgia. This role involves providing elite care with responsibilities ranging from assisting in the OR to conducting patient evaluations and follow-ups.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the OR, hospital rounds, and clinic as needed for pre-op, post-op, and ED follow-ups
  • Enter pre-op and post-op orders
  • Take patient histories and conduct physical examinations
  • Record data in patients' medical records in both ambulatory and hospital settings
  • Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal care
  • Write progress notes and prepare patient work-ups summarizing findings
  • Develop plans of care to minimize complications
  • Complete pre-op appointments for surgical patients
  • Manage first call on a rotating basis

Required skills
