Job Description

Overview

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage for urgent and emergent cases at a Level I Trauma Center. The position requires immediate availability for specific dates in March and encompasses ongoing coverage for one week each month.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for neurosurgical emergencies
  • Manage adult and geriatric patients presenting through the Emergency Department
  • Perform procedures including brain bleed stoppage, clot removal, tumor removal, trauma repair, and shunt insertion or revision
  • Conduct spine procedures such as stabilization, reconstruction, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, spinal fusion, laminectomy, and discectomy
  • Work collaboratively with the neurosurgery team

Required skills

  • Board Certification in Neurosurgery
  • Active Ohio Medical License
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience in high-acuity trauma environments
  • Ability to manage complex emergent cranial and spine cases independently
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
