Overview

ATC West Healthcare Services is looking for a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage for urgent and emergent neurosurgical cases at a Level I Trauma Center. The position requires availability for one week per month, with specific coverage needed for March 3-10. The role involves managing adult and geriatric patients presenting with neurosurgical emergencies through the Emergency Department.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for urgent and emergent cases
  • Manage adult and geriatric neurosurgical emergencies
  • Perform neurosurgery procedures including brain bleed stoppage, clot removal, tumor removal, trauma repair, shunt insertion or revision
  • Execute required spine procedures such as spine stabilization, vertebroplasty, spine fusion, laminectomy, and diskectomy
  • Collaborate with the neurosurgery team in a Level I Trauma setting

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Neurosurgery
  • Active Ohio Medical License
  • Availability for March 3-10 coverage
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience in high-acuity trauma environments
  • Comfortable with managing complex emergent cranial and spine cases
  • Familiarity with EMR system EPIC
