Overview

Palm Health Resources is seeking an experienced Surgical Physician Assistant to join a renowned Cancer Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves performing first assistant duties in the operating room and clinic, managing a broad range of surgical procedures, and providing comprehensive patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform first assistant duties in the operating room and clinic
  • Execute minor surgical procedures without in-room supervision
  • Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare professionals for patient care
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in various clinical settings
  • Educate and counsel patients about their health and surgical procedures
  • Complete pre-operative H&Ps, post-operative evaluations, and discharge documentation
  • Prescribe medications and document patient care accurately
  • Maintain technical skills for a wide range of surgical procedures
  • Provide call coverage and onsite patient rounding as required

Required skills

  • Certified AZ licensed or eligible PA-C
  • Robotic surgery experience
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience with clinical evaluations and patient management
  • Ability to navigate clinical information systems
