Overview

VieMed Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant for a locum opportunity focused on gynecology surgery in Atlantic City, NJ. This role offers a chance to provide expert surgical support in an inpatient hospital environment while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in robotic gynecological surgeries as a first assist in an inpatient OR setting
  • Provide surgical support during 2-6 procedures daily
  • Collaborate with surgeons and the care team to ensure smooth surgical operations
  • Maintain surgical assist documentation within Cerner/Oracle EMR systems
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards
  • Support patient care before and after procedures as needed
  • Work under the supervision of the surgeon performing the cases

Required skills

  • First Assist Certification with Robotics experience
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification
  • Prior experience assisting in gynecological surgeries
  • Valid California PA or NP license (or ability to obtain NJ license)
  • Experience with robotic-assisted procedures (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Cerner/Oracle EMR (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of surgical assist experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
