Job Description

Overview

UCHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Surgical ICU team in Colorado Springs, CO. This PRN role requires a focus on patient care and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, featuring a cohesive group of surgeons and advanced practice providers. The position includes inpatient rounding with an emphasis on trauma and acute care surgery, and utilizes Epic EMR system-wide.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary inpatient rounding on the Surgical ICU unit
  • Collaborate with the Surgical ICU team and Trauma Acute Care Surgery team
  • Provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment
  • Support full day, weekend, and holiday shift coverage

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing
  • Unrestricted license to practice in Colorado
  • Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in Trauma & Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care preferred
  • Epic EMR proficiency
