Overview

Banner Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Breast Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join its accredited multidisciplinary breast team in Tucson, Arizona. This position is part of a robust Division of Surgical Oncology that emphasizes collaborative care for breast cancer patients, and includes mentoring opportunities for medical students and residents within a top-ranked cancer center.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a clinical caseload focused on breast surgery and outpatient clinic responsibilities
  • Participate in breast service call without general surgery responsibilities
  • Engage in clinical mentoring of medical students and residents
  • Deliver lectures, didactics, and clinical instruction
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance cancer management

Required skills

  • Board Certification or Eligibility by the American Board of Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology
  • 3+ years of breast surgery experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered
  • Valid Arizona Medical License or eligibility
  • Desire to work in an academic setting
