Overview

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a Colon & Rectal Surgeon for a permanent, full-time position in Munster, Indiana. The role involves providing comprehensive surgical care for adult and geriatric patients, including colorectal and general surgical procedures, and will require participation in a shared call rotation.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide full-spectrum colorectal and general surgical care, including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive procedures
  • Perform inpatient rounding, outpatient consultations, and follow-up visits
  • Participate in General Surgery call rotation (1:4)
  • Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation and care coordination
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in clinical quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the growth and leadership of the surgical program within Community Healthcare System

Required skills

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery
  • Indiana medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • Active DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications
  • Prior inpatient and outpatient surgical experience preferred
  • Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgery required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to quality care
  • Ability to work within a collaborative surgical team
