Overview

WhiteCoat Locums is seeking a Cardiovascular Physician Assistant for a locums coverage position in Lexington, Kentucky. The role involves first-assisting in surgical procedures, inpatient care for ICU patients, and participation in night and weekend on-call shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • First-assisting in cardiovascular procedures, including endoscopic vein harvesting and CABG
  • Conducting morning rounds with faculty on 5-10 ICU patients
  • Taking night call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and weekend call
  • Working collaboratively with a team and faculty in an academic setting

Required skills

  • Proficient in first-assisting and CABG procedures
  • Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting and cardiac care
  • At least one year of recent experience in cardiovascular procedures
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR
  • Board Certified PA or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA
  • Active licensure in Kentucky (KY)
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccination compliance
