Overview

A leading medical center in Rock Hill, South Carolina is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join its Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This role involves a combination of operative first assist duties, inpatient management, and perioperative care, within a collaborative environment focused on exceptional cardiovascular care.

Key responsibilities

  • Operating room first assist responsibilities
  • Inpatient rounding and patient management
  • Perioperative care coordination
  • Participate in call rotation of 1:4
  • Involvement in ICU and step-down unit patient care
  • Endovascular vein harvesting

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina
  • Prior cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
  • Endovascular vein harvesting proficiency
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills
