Job Description

Overview

Lancesoft INC is seeking two experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join a high-volume cardiac and thoracic surgery team in Tacoma, Washington. This role offers a dynamic, hands-on surgical environment with opportunities for transitioning from locum to permanent positions.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with pre- and post-operative patient evaluation and treatment
  • First assist in coronary artery bypass and valve surgeries
  • Assist in aortic and aortic arch reconstruction
  • Support robotic-assisted thoracic surgeries
  • Handle endoscopic vein harvest and open radial artery harvest
  • Manage ICU and step-down patients
  • Perform emergent floor procedures like chest tubes and arterial lines
  • Conduct daily rounds, discharge summaries, and wound checks
  • Participate in evening, night, and weekend surgeries and patient rounds
  • Support walk-in/urgent clinic visits when the primary surgeon is unavailable

Required skills

  • Board Certification in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • State License: Washington preferred (IMLC considered)
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
  • Minimum 3 years of CV/CT surgery experience
  • Experience with robotic procedures in thoracic surgery
  • Familiarity with EMR: EPIC
