Overview

AMN Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locum tenens support in southwestern Ohio. The position requires covering a full-service acute care hospital with a schedule involving 24-hour call and a range of surgical procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform general thoracic and vascular surgeries
  • Conduct coronary artery bypass surgeries
  • Manage congenital defects and valvular repairs/replacements
  • Execute aneurysm repairs and lung resections
  • Handle chest wall and pleural procedures
  • Perform esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
  • Conduct endarterectomies and bronchoscopies
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Ohio state medical license
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC
