Overview

ATC West Healthcare is looking for a board-certified Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon to provide urgent call coverage due to a medical emergency within an acute care hospital in Springfield, Ohio. This role involves adult inpatient surgical care and is expected to last for at least two months with the possibility of additional sporadic coverage afterward.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide adult inpatient cardiothoracic and vascular surgery call coverage
  • Perform general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
  • Conduct coronary artery bypass surgeries and valvular repairs
  • Manage procedures such as aneurysm repairs and lung resections
  • Utilize the EPIC documentation system for patient care
  • Collaborate with a team of physicians and mid-level providers

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery
  • Active Ohio medical license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Clean malpractice and licensing record
  • Experience in managing acute volume and blood pressure issues
