Overview

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to oversee mechanical aspects of construction projects in Kittery, Maine. This leadership role requires ensuring that mechanical systems are installed and maintained according to design, quality, safety, and scheduling requirements while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

  • Organize and plan jobs with the Project Manager.
  • Direct oversight of labor and equipment time sheets and daily reports.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Manage the overall mechanical schedule and crew productivity.
  • Review cost reports and prepare field change requests.
  • Enforce quality control and safety policies.
  • Conduct daily huddles and weekly Tool Box Talks.
  • Provide Job Hazard Analysis prior to new work activities.
  • Identify extra work or change of conditions and report to management.
  • Submit weekly accountability reports.

Required skills

  • B.S. in Civil Construction preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil construction.
  • Experience in scheduling, field supervision, and quality control.
  • OSHA 10 certified.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
