Overview

Ledesma & Meyer Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to oversee public school construction projects across California. The role requires extensive experience in project management, ensuring compliance with construction standards, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Review contract drawings and specifications for compliance
  • Inspect work performed by contractors and ensure adherence to codes and standards
  • Monitor productivity of employees and subcontractors
  • Advise management of potential issues and assist in conflict resolution
  • Facilitate project pre-planning, including work sequences and resource allocation
  • Interface with owners and architects to ensure design intent is met
  • Manage project schedules and alert management of any delays
  • Conduct safety inspections and address potential hazards
  • Oversee the submittal process and maintain project logs
  • Act as a liaison between project management and field teams

Required skills

  • 5+ years of California public school construction experience
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and Project Sight
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
