Overview

Ledesma & Meyer Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee public school construction projects in California. The role involves monitoring project compliance, ensuring quality and safety, and leading a team to achieve project goals effectively and within budget.

Key responsibilities

  • Review contract drawings, specifications, and addenda.
  • Inspect contractor work for compliance with contract documents and codes.
  • Monitor productivity of employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans are followed.
  • Advise management on potential project issues and assist in problem resolution.
  • Develop project pre-plans including work sequences and material handling.
  • Interface with owners, architects, and designers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor project schedules and report delays to the Project Manager.
  • Conduct safety inspections and report dangers to the Project Manager.
  • Attend construction meetings and oversee subcontractor coordination.
  • Maintain project logs and records using construction management software.

Required skills

  • 5 years of California public school construction experience
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 and Project Sight
  • Integrated knowledge of K-14 school construction and project management
