Overview

Ledesma & Meyer Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to play a critical role in delivering high-quality public school projects across California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction processes, ensuring compliance with codes, managing schedules, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Review contract drawings, specifications, and addenda
  • Inspect work performed by contractors for compliance with contract documents
  • Monitor work performance and productivity of company employees and subcontractors
  • Advise senior management on potential problems and conflicts
  • Assist in the development of project pre-plans including work sequences and manpower utilization
  • Interface with owners, architects, and design professionals
  • Facilitate discovery and correction of contract document errors
  • Monitor project schedules and alert Project Manager of delays
  • Conduct safety inspections and report potential dangers
  • Attend project construction meetings and oversee subcontractor coordination

Required skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of California public school construction experience
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Positive collaborative personality with good communication skills
  • Proactive leadership skills
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and Project Sight
  • Knowledge of K-14 school construction and project management
