Overview

Ledesma & Meyer Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead public school construction projects in California. As a key player in the team, you will ensure compliance with contract specifications, safety regulations, and effective project management from pre-construction to project closeout.

Key responsibilities

  • Review contract documents and inspect contractor work for compliance
  • Monitor productivity and performance of employees and subcontractors
  • Advise management on potential project issues and assist in problem resolution
  • Develop a detailed project pre-plan including sequences and resource allocations
  • Interface with owners, architects, and design professionals to ensure satisfaction
  • Monitor project schedules and report delays to the Project Manager
  • Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to the Project Manager
  • Oversee the submittal process and maintain project logs
  • Act as a liaison between project management and field engineering

Required skills

  • 5+ years of California public school construction experience
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and Project Sight
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills
  • Knowledge of K-14 school construction and project management
