Overview

As a Summer Camp Counselor for Camp Kehilla, you'll help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for campers. This seasonal role focuses on mentoring campers, fostering friendships, and leading activities that promote personal growth and memories during the camp experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet the individual needs of each assigned camper
  • Ensure campers' physical, emotional, and mental well-being
  • Oversee and support assigned campers throughout the camp day
  • Adapt activities and provide assistance to engage campers
  • Engage actively in all camp activities and events
  • Collaborate with staff and group leaders to provide updates on camper needs
  • Foster positive relationships with campers, providing guidance and support
  • Follow and enforce safety protocols and respond to emergencies
  • Maintain a clean and organized camp environment
  • Attend all required staff and group meetings, trainings, and camp orientation
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the camp director or assistant director
