Overview

Dedicated School Staffing is hiring Substitute Nutrition Services Workers for Lakewood City Schools to assist the nutrition teams in providing healthy and timely meals. This part-time, on-call role involves food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and portioning food according to established menus and guidelines
  • Serve meals to students in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow all food handling procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, serving lines, and cafeteria spaces
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed
  • Set up and break down serving stations and food lines
  • Follow all district nutrition policies, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with inventory, storage, and organization of food supplies
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and school personnel
  • Provide positive customer service to students and staff
