Overview

Dedicated School Staffing is looking for dependable Substitute Food Service Workers to assist school nutrition teams at Three Rivers Local Schools in Cleves, Ohio. This part-time, on-call position is crucial for ensuring that students receive safe and nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and portioning food according to menus and guidelines
  • Serve meals to students in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely while following food-handling procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving areas, and cafeteria spaces
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as required
  • Set up and take down serving lines and food stations
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and district nutrition policies
  • Assist with inventory, storage, and organization of food and supplies
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and school personnel
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and staff

Required skills

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Clean criminal background check
  • Obtain an Ohio ID account and enroll in the Ohio rapback program
  • Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items as required
  • Dependability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
  • Adherence to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous experience in food service, cafeteria work, or customer service (preferred)
  • Knowledge of safe food-handling practices (preferred)
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment (preferred)
