Overview

Dedicated School Staffing is looking for reliable and compassionate Substitute Educational Aides to support students and teachers at Vermilion Local Schools in Ohio. The role involves maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment while assisting with classroom instruction and providing individualized support to students, including those with special needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers with instruction, activities, and student supervision
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support, including students with special needs
  • Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by the teacher or intervention specialist
  • Support students with daily routines such as organization, transitions, and classroom participation
  • Supervise students across multiple settings, including classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during arrival/dismissal
  • Help maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment
  • Follow lesson plans, behavior plans, and established safety procedures
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, staff, and administrators
  • Document student observations, incidents, or progress as required
