Overview

Dedicated School Staffing is looking for Substitute School Cleaners/Custodians to work on an as-needed, part-time basis in Rocky River City Schools. This role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff by assisting with daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned spaces
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
  • Assist with cafeteria cleanup, including wiping tables and maintaining floors
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing bulbs or restocking supplies
  • Set up or break down rooms for events or activities as needed
  • Ensure safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damages to supervisors
  • Follow district cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and schedules
  • Work collaboratively with custodial staff and school personnel

  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and safe chemical handling (preferred)
  • Experience in school or institutional settings (preferred)
