Overview

Dedicated School Staffing is looking for reliable and hardworking Substitute School Cleaners/Custodians to support the Lakewood City Schools. This part-time, on-call role is crucial for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff when regular custodial staff are unavailable.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed
  • Assist with cafeteria cleanup, including wiping tables and maintaining floors
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or restocking supplies
  • Set up and break down rooms for school events or activities when required
  • Ensure proper and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damages to supervisors
  • Follow district cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and daily schedules
