Overview

Dedicated School Staffing is looking for dependable and hardworking Substitute School Cleaners/Custodians to support the cleaning and maintenance of Huron City Schools. This part-time, on-call role is crucial for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff when regular custodians are unavailable.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas as needed
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
  • Assist with cafeteria cleanup, including wiping tables and maintaining floors
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supplies
  • Set up and break down spaces for school events or activities when required
  • Ensure proper and safe use of cleaning materials and equipment
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or damages to supervisors
  • Follow district cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Work cooperatively with custodial staff and school personnel
