Overview

Dedicated School Staffing is looking for reliable and hardworking Substitute School Cleaners/Custodians to support Coshocton City Schools as needed. This part-time, on-call position is crucial for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and shared spaces
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed
  • Assist with cafeteria cleanup, including wiping tables and maintaining floors
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing bulbs or restocking supplies
  • Set up and break down rooms for events or activities as needed
  • Ensure proper and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damages to supervisors
  • Follow district cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and schedules
  • Work collaboratively with custodial staff and school personnel

Required skills

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Clean criminal background check
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Adherence to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and safe chemical handling practices
  • Experience working in school or similar institutional settings
