Job Description

Overview

Hayden Power Group is seeking a Substation Working Foreman to lead and supervise multiple high voltage electrical construction projects, managing a team of workers while ensuring safety and compliance. The role involves extensive coordination with clients and efficient project management to deliver quality electrical solutions across various settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of electrical construction projects, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Lead and supervise both in-house electrical crews and subcontractors on project sites.
  • Manage communication with customers and owner's representatives regarding job scope.
  • Participate in field work while overseeing crew operations when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on job sites.
  • Manage project documentation, including manpower scheduling and daily reports.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain project safety programs.
  • Mentor and evaluate team members, including performance evaluations.

Required skills

  • Minimum of five years' supervisory experience in electrical construction.
  • Expertise in medium and high voltage installations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E.
  • Technical proficiency with electrical testing equipment.
  • Valid certifications: OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, Aerial and forklift certification.
  • Ability to travel for on-site work as required.
