Overview

The Substation Working Foreman position at Hayden Power Group involves leadership and oversight of multiple high voltage electrical construction projects. This role includes managing a team of electricians and subcontractors while ensuring safety, efficiency, and strong communication with clients and team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee, coordinate, and schedule all aspects of electrical construction projects
  • Manage manpower, equipment, tools, and materials
  • Participate in field work while supervising crew operations
  • Communicate effectively with customers and project stakeholders
  • Conduct safety program initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints and project documentation
  • Manage change orders and track project labor needs
  • Evaluate and mentor crew team members
  • Conduct weekly and monthly meetings for project and leadership success

Required skills

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a supervisory role
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Journeyperson certificate or equivalent experience
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Aerial and forklift certification
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • Proficiency in NEC and NFPA70E standards
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with high voltage systems (138kV, 69kV, 15kV)
  • Ability to operate various construction equipment safely
