Overview

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Structural Mechanic IV for Special Missions in Savannah, Georgia. The role involves performing various structural assembly operations, ensuring adherence to company and FAA specifications, and mentoring team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures
  • Conduct varied drilling and riveting operations to meet specifications
  • Interpret and work from complex schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings
  • Coordinate with supervision and inspection for compliance with internal standards
  • Mentor and train team members in blueprint interpretation and problem resolution
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of work
  • Plan and organize workloads to exceed goal hours and schedule expectations
  • Support Lean Activities and comply with safety and housekeeping policies

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 years of structural assembly experience
  • Experience with Solumnia and Smarteam preferred
  • Q-stamp preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Proficiency in using various tools including pneumatic drills and riveting guns
  • Good working knowledge of computers and related software
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in restricted spaces
