Job Description

Overview

The Structural Mechanic II position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Tulsa, OK requires working on the second shift with an emphasis on team-oriented structural assembly operations. The role involves adhering to design specifications and quality standards, ensuring that all assemblies meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures using drilling and riveting operations
  • Conduct sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation on aircraft components
  • Read work orders, blueprints, and sketches to determine assembly requirements
  • Maintain logs and records related to work performed
  • Align and assemble parts using jigs and fasteners
  • Make repairs as per Discrepant Material Tags and Production Change Orders
  • Support safety and clean workspace through the company's 5S Program
  • Assist in maintaining shop equipment and participate in Lean Activities

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of related structural assembly experience
  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Basic computer skills and shop math skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices
  • Capability of working in small spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Good housekeeping and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials
  • English language proficiency
