Overview

The Structural Mechanic 4 (Second Shift) position at Gulfstream Aerospace in St. Louis involves performing various structural assembly operations for aircraft. The role requires extensive aircraft structural repair experience and proficiency in using sheet metal tools and reading engineering drawings. This full-time position operates primarily on weekdays from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Utilize schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings for safe layout and installation of parts.
  • Coordinate with supervision and inspection teams for compliance checks and sign-offs.
  • Mentor and train team members on blueprint interpretation and assembly techniques.
  • Maintain a clean work area and support Lean initiatives and safety regulations.
  • Plan and organize workload to meet or exceed goal hours and project expectations.

Required skills

  • Extensive experience in aircraft structural repair
