Job Description

Overview

As a Structural Mechanic 4 at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, you will be responsible for performing a variety of structural assembly operations in a team-oriented environment. This position requires extensive knowledge in sheet metal and structural repairs, where you will utilize tools and blueprints to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, including drilling and riveting operations
  • Use schematics and engineering drawings to layout, fabricate, and install parts on aircraft
  • Coordinate with supervision and inspection for compliance with internal and FAA standards
  • Mentor and assist team members in blueprint interpretation and production challenges
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of work performed
  • Support Lean Activities and adhere to safety and 5S policies
  • Plan and organize workloads to meet project goals and expectations

Required skills

  • Extensive knowledge of sheet metal and structural repairs
  • Proficient in drilling and riveting techniques
  • Strong mechanical skills and close tolerance work
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Experience with Solumnia and Smarteam (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Quality assurance practices, including FAA specifications
  • Good working knowledge of computers and related software
