Job Description

Overview

The Director of Adult Echo at Advocate Health will lead the Structural Heart Imaging team at Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. This role entails overseeing a high-volume structural heart program and supporting advanced cardiovascular services, particularly focusing on imaging modalities in complex cardiac care.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the Structural Heart Imaging team and participate in multidisciplinary valve clinics
  • Oversee and ensure quality in echocardiography and interventional cardiology procedures
  • Engage in clinical research and major clinical trials related to structural heart therapies
  • Manage call coverage and provide clinical insights on imaging data
  • Coordinate administrative responsibilities related to the directorship

Required skills

  • BE/BC in Cardiovascular Disease
  • BE/BC in Echocardiography (Level III required)
  • BE/BC in Cardiac CT and/or Cardiac MRI
  • Minimum of 3 years practice experience post fellowship
  • Advanced training in intraprocedural echocardiography
  • Experience in pre- and peri-operative care of patients with valvular heart disease
  • Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills in a heart team context
