Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHiring Structural Fitters, Houston TX PAY: $25-$30 Based on Experience (% differential for night shift) HOURS: 60+ PER WEEK Day and/or Night Shift availableDURATION: VERY LONG TERM (12+ MONTHS) POSITION OVERVIEW:Fit, cut, and tack material.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares welding jointsCuts materialFit and tack material required from drawingsFill out inspection reports and requestsConventional and measuring instrumentsFinish grinding applications using manual and power toolsSafety and HousekeepingJOB SKILLSAbility to read blueprintsBasic weldingProficiency in mathKnowledge of structural shapes and sizesAbility to work with a torch and bevel machiningEDUCATION & TRAININGHigh School diplomaMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Two years of related experience in a manufacturing environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work performed in a shop environment.Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.The use of Safety Glasses is required.Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility
