Job Description

Overview

Metromont is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in Bartow, Florida. With nearly a century of leadership in precast concrete design and manufacturing, the company values innovation and quality in construction projects such as parking structures and multifamily housing. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing precast concrete systems and ensuring efficient project completion.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations and details for precast concrete products and connections.
  • Independently manage engineering design aspects of projects.
  • Review contract documents and attend project meetings.
  • Write and review requests for information (RFI).
  • Resolve engineering design issues independently.
  • Check engineering design calculations and details for accuracy and compliance.
  • Review erection drawings and shop tickets.
  • Conduct regular plant visits to understand production processes.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety rules and regulations.

Required skills

  • 3-7 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • BS in Civil Engineering; structural emphasis preferred.
  • PE Certification required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with engineering design software.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
