Overview

Tri-Tech Surveying & Engineering is seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer to join their team in Houston, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to utilize leadership skills and contribute to a culture that values consistency, accuracy, and timely engineering services for both commercial and residential clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide design for structural components necessary for project development
  • Perform structural calculations for wood, steel, and reinforced concrete
  • Understand and apply national codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC
  • Resolve project issues and problems effectively
  • Provide technical guidance to co-workers
  • Contribute to team goals in a cooperative environment
  • Work autonomously without direct supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Strong knowledge of design codes: IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, AISC
  • PE license in Texas
  • Proficient in analytical software, AutoCAD, RISA, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and client interface skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing work assignments
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in residential and commercial engineering
