Job Description

Overview

Boeing is seeking Experienced or Senior Structural Analysis Engineers to verify structural integrity using analytical methods and finite element models throughout the product lifecycle. These positions will contribute to various aircraft programs in the Air Dominance division, located in the Greater St. Louis area.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish system design
  • Coordinate with engineering groups to establish product environment
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods
  • Develop test plans and configurations, and analyze test results
  • Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies
  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
  • Lead development and documentation of structural requirements and test plans

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Material Sciences)
  • 5+ years of related work experience for Level 3 or 9+ years for Level 4
  • Experience in hand calculations and using industry CAD systems (NX/Teamcenter)
  • Proficiency in FEM software (ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stresscheck, Hyperworks)
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • Experience with Boeing Analysis Tools (preferred)
