Job Description

Overview

Boeing is seeking Experienced or Senior Structural Analysis Engineers to verify structural integrity through analytical methods and finite element models throughout the product lifecycle. These engineers will work in the Greater St. Louis region and support various aircraft programs within the Air Dominance division of Boeing Defense Space and Security.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements for system design
  • Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and simulations
  • Develop test plans and support test execution, analyzing and reporting results
  • Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies
  • Investigate failures and analyze improvements for in-service products
  • Lead development of analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Material Sciences)
  • 5+ years' related work experience for Level 3 or 9+ years for Level 4
  • Experience performing hand calculations and using industry CAD systems (NX/Teamcenter)
  • Proficiency in FEM software (ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stresscheck, Hyperworks)
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
