Overview

Eutectic Canada is seeking a Strategic Account Manager for its Mining Services division in Western Canada. This role focuses on developing and expanding key mining accounts by offering advanced welding, hardfacing, and wear protection solutions to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime. The position requires strong relationship management skills and the ability to act as a trusted partner to various stakeholders within the mining sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and grow strategic mining accounts across Alberta and Western Canada
  • Promote advanced welding and wear protection solutions to mining operations
  • Identify equipment wear challenges and recommend value-added solutions
  • Conduct site visits to assess maintenance needs and identify opportunities
  • Work closely with maintenance managers, reliability engineers, and procurement teams
  • Present technical solutions to reduce downtime and lower total cost of ownership
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and technical presentations
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements
  • Track sales pipeline and achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
  • Maintain documentation in CRM and submit weekly expense reports

Required skills

  • Fabrication experience
  • 5-10 years of industrial sales experience in mining or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of wear management and surface protection technologies
  • Experience working with maintenance and engineering teams in mining
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance challenges
  • Strong technical aptitude and consultative communication style
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
  • Hunter mindset with proven prospecting skills
  • Established network within the mining or heavy industrial sector
