Job Description

Overview

Wegmans is looking for a Store Security Specialist in King Of Prussia, PA, to enhance safety for customers and employees. The role involves maintaining a secure environment, analyzing data to prevent theft, and collaborating with emergency responders, while prioritizing customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety in the store to create a positive environment
  • Analyze trends and data to minimize theft
  • Monitor activities and apprehend shoplifters
  • Foster relationships with community partners and emergency responders
  • Manage the use of Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) systems
  • Respond to emergencies and support employees and customers
  • Conduct investigations as directed by leadership

Required skills

  • 1+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer
  • Valid license to carry a firearm
  • Valid driver's license
  • Conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field (preferred)
  • Related experience in security and/or loss prevention (preferred)
  • Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or First Responder experience (preferred)
  • Leadership experience in a retail setting (preferred)
